CALIBRATION OF THERMOCOUPLES UNDER LABORA TORY CONDITIONS

The paper deals with an innovated way of the calibration of thermocoup les using a personal computer and a very powerfull software which enab les a fully automated calibration of various thermocouples. The thermo power values of the calibrated thermocouple are compared with those of a higher class standard thermocouple within the whole operating tempe rature range. The ends of calibrated thermocouple are placed against e ach other in the axis of a resistor oven and the center of the highest temperature region where the temperature is very stable. The calibrat ion process is fully automated and it can be universally used for vari ous thermocouples. The calibration set and the software meet all neces sary requirments according to the rules for the calibration of operati ng temperature standards.
