Abstract
The bleomycin (BLM) model compound bearing hydrophilic steric factor w as synthesized and the physicochemical properties of the metal complex es were studied. Iron complex of the model compound exhibited BLM like reversible redox cycle and higher oxygen activating activity compared to the corresponding model compound bearing hydrophobic steric factor .
