Sn. Volkov, HYDROGEOCHEMICAL CLASSIFICATION OF THE AT MOSPHERIC TECHNOGENIC ACTION BY USE OF REDOX PH STATE OF THE ATMOSPHERIC PRECIPITATES, Geohimia, (5), 1995, pp. 621-629
The pH- and redox state of the atmospheric precipitates in different r
egions of the Urals is studied. The comparative analysis of up-to-date
data with those of 1970-74 allowed to reveal the substantial changes
of the extremal pH values fo these two decades. The intensification of
diversity of atmospheric technogenic action resulted in the shift of
pH limits both to the left (up to pH = 2.04) and to the right (up to p
H = 8.99). The data carried out were summerised in a form of a matrix
classification scheme taking into account the redox potential values o
f different phase states of the atmospheric precipitates. The border v
alues of the acidic-alkaline and redox atmospheric pollution were dete
rmined. It is shown that the technosphere of the Urals is developed in
the environmentally agressive meteorological conditions.
