K. Knothe et al., SIMPLE, SEMIANALYTICAL MODELS FOR DISCRETE-CONTINUOUS RAILWAY TRACK AND THEIR USE FOR TIME-DOMAIN SOLUTIONS, Vehicle System Dynamics, 24, 1995, pp. 340-352
A simple, semi-analytical model for discrete-continuous railway track
is presented, which is very fast and includes all relevant effects of
vertical track vibrations, such as the effect of parametric excitation
while a wheelset or a vehicle is moving on discretely supported track
. This: semi-analytical track model, which has all advantages of exist
ing frequency domain track models, either can be used in the frequency
domain or in the time domain. As an example the nonlinear response of
a vehicle running on vertical track irregularities is investigated. T
he model can also be used to analyse the stability behaviour of high f
requency vibrations or to optimize the railway track parameters.
