Abstract
We summarize our experimental data on radiocarbon variations in tree r ings covering the last several hundred years. Special attention was de voted to the Maunder Minimum of solar activity which is displayed in D elta(14)C. It is shown that the modulation of galactic cosmic rays at Wolf numbers W approximate to 0 does really exist and that the 22-yr p eriodicity at that period is more pronounced than the 11-yr periodicit y. The properties of future theoretical models of solar activity are b riefly discussed.
