Time-domain experimental femtosecond OHD-RIKES results for electrolyte
solutions (NaI and LiClO4 in acetonitrile and ethyl acetate) are pres
ented and discussed within the context of the molecular polarizability
ellipsoid of the solvent, It is concluded that the anisotropic part o
f the liquid intermolecular potential is not significantly influenced
by the addition of electrolytes, even at concentrations up to the satu
ration limit.
