Abstract
A restudy of the morphology and anatomy of the foliicolous lichen Pseu dogyalecta verrucosa revealed that this species is not related to the Gyalectacene (Gyalectales), but congeneric with Badimia in the Lecanor ales, coming closest to Badimia pallidula. The nomenclatural consequen ces are briefly discussed.
