A. Pageszamora et al., THE K-FILTER - A NEW ARCHITECTURE TO MODEL AND DESIGN NONLINEAR-SYSTEMS FROM KOLMOGOROVS THEOREM, Signal processing, 44(3), 1995, pp. 249-267
A new architecture to model and design non-linear transfer functions i
s presented using a new formulation for non-linear systems. This appro
ach follows the guidelines of the mapping theorem due to A. Kolmogorov
and it is based on the direct Fourier transform of the transfer funct
ion. The resulting scheme is formed by two stages; the first stage con
tains phase modulators, which, based on random sampling concepts repor
ted by I. Bilinskis, are duplicated with a small perturbation in the m
odulation factor. This stage depends on the number of diversity data a
nd it is independent of the function. The second step reduces to Volte
rra systems and a direct combiner of the new diversity kernels. The re
ported architecture and design seem to be able to cope with both linea
r and non-linear filtering problems, which can be considered as a form
al framework for generalised signal processing.
