COGAN-I-SYNDROME - CASE-REPORT AND REVIEW FROM THE LITERATURE

A 16 year old boy developed sudden bilateral labyrinthine deaf ness an d a non-syphilitic interstitial keratitis. In the literature this comp lex is described as Cogan I-syndrome. Other pathological findings were dizziness, tinnitus, ataxia, bilateral papillitis and conjunctival in jections, furthermore fever, cardiac symptoms and rapid weight-loss, I n the patient's history a systemic form of juvenile rheumatoid arthrit is is known. Therapy and course of disease are described and discussed .
