Abstract
Two infants with life-threatening upper airway obstruction due to a he mangioma of the larynx were treated successfully with interferon alpha 2c. The first was treated from the age of 13 months on for 10 months; in the second treatment was started at an age of 3 months and continu ed over 8 1/2 months. Both patients showed a rapid relief of their res piratory distress. The involution of the hemangiomatous lesions was mo nitored by MR, endoscopy and infant lung function testing.
