A capacitive-type humidity sensor has been manufactured using crosslin
ked poly(methyl methacrylate-co-(2 hydroxypropyl)-methacrylate) as sen
sing material. The sensitivity, response time and durability of the se
nsor against acetone vapour have been measured. The sensor is tested w
ith a measurement cycle as follows: 12% RH (1 h)-75% RH (1 h)-95% RH (
16 h)-75% RH (I h)-12% RH (1 h), and it shows good sensitivity, short
response time, low hysteresis and durability against acetone vapour.
