Abstract
A carbon felt (CF) electrode/glucose oxidase (GOD)-containing solution system is used for measuring dihydroxyphenols (e.g., catechol and dop amine). Dihydroxyphenol molecules are oxidized on the electrode, but a re regenerated by the GOD reaction in the presence of glucose. The con sumption-regeneration cycle for catechol molecules results in an ampli fied electrode response. Further, the measuring method can be free fro m electrochemical interference by oxidizable species such as L-ascorbi c acid and uric acid.
