S. Mikkilineni et al., MEASUREMENT OF DYNAMIC GAS DISENGAGEMENT PROFILE BY USING AN ANALOG OUTPUT LEVEL GAUGE, Experiments in fluids, 22(3), 1997, pp. 249-250
The dynamic gas disengagement profile was measured in a 0.14 m diamete
r and 3.66 m high plexiglas column by using an analog output gauge, wh
ich was connected to a data acquisition system. This analog output gau
ge is a high accuracy continuous measurement level gauge. It is made u
p of a wave guide, a float, a motion or stress sensing device and a pr
obe housing. The fluid level at any gas velocity is obtained by using
the data acquisition system. The dynamic gas disengagement profile pro
duced one slope in the bubble flow and two slopes in the churn turbule
nt flow representing unimodal and bimodal distributions of bubbles.
