Abstract
The techniques of FTIR and Raman microspectrometry were developed for analysis of chromating layers on coated steel. The purpose was, in a f irst step, to develop optimal using conditions to characterize these l ayers and, in a second step, to apply these developments to the study of correlations between the local nature of the organic or inorganic f ilm, and the adhesion properties.
