Abstract
A simple method for the vectorial analysis of arbitrarily shaped diele ctric waveguides is discussed. The method is characterized by the appl ication of Green's second identity to a set of plane waves as weightin g functions for the internal problem. The method is attractive because of its simplicity and effectiveness. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
