Abstract
Advanced telephone services like Free Dial (Free Phone; 800 service in the United States) are finding growing use by customers. Here we intr oduce the NSP, NSSP and control terminal that support the pro vision o f advanced services, tracing their development to date and describing recent enhancements made to their software functions.
