Abstract
A new flavanone, a new prenylflavone, a novel phenolic compound, heter ophylol, reported in a previous paper, and nine known flavonoids have been isolated from the root of Artocarpus heterophyllus. The two new f lavonoids have been characterized as 5,2'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethyoxyfla vanone and imethylallyl)-5,2',4'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone, respecti vely.
