Two novel ester alkaloids, incarvines B and C, were isolated from the
aerial parts of Incarvillea sinensis. On the basis of chemical and spe
ctroscopic evidence, incarvine B was characterized as the ester of the
monoterpene alkaloid, incarvilline, and the monoterpene acid, Hildebr
andt's acid, whilst the structure of incarvine C was established as in
carvilline 7-O-ferulate.
