VETERINARY EDUCATION - HOW IT WAS, HOW IT IS AND HOW IT SHOULD BE

This paper discussed a number or recent reports relevant to the future ol velerinary education, including 'Pew', 'Lucke' and, particularly, the AVTRW Discussion Document (1995) anl the GMC report which influenc ed it, Issues relating to the Dublin veterinary school, as well as tho se in the UK, were addressed and the desirability ol this sets ration was questioned. The pernicious effects of the delusion that universiti es are simply another term ol business and that 'management' is a disc ipline offering relevant insights were addressed.
