Experimental data on density, viscosity, and dielectric constant of wa
ter-1,4-butylene glycol mixtures at 15-55 degrees C as well as on dens
ity of LiCl, NaCl, and KCl solutions (at m = 0.5 mole . kg(-1)) in the
se mixtures and speeds of ultrasound propagation in these mixtures at
25 degrees C are presented. Excessive characteristics of the mixtures,
partial molar volumes of components, and adiabatic compressibility of
the solutions are calculated, and the dependences of these properties
on the mixture composition, temperature, and nature of the electrolyt
e are discussed.
