Abstract
A novel and efficient burst mode transmission method is presented. M-a ry PSK bursts were transmitted through an underwater acoustic channel exhibiting long time spread multipath behaviour, and a DPSK detector w as used at the receiver. The phase constellation plots obtained show t hat up to eight phases can be resolved without evidence of errors in t he received data.
