APPLICATION OF TLC - DIGITAL AUTORADIOGRAPHY AS A RAPID METHOD IN A PILOT-STUDY OF DERAMCICLANE METABOLISM

A pilot study has been conducted to develop sample preparation and sem i-quantitative determination of metabolites formed from deramciclane ( a new anxiolytic compound) in experimental animals. A solid phase extr action procedure was developed for isolation of radiolabeled compounds from excreta. Eluents for TLC separation of the isolated compounds we re optimized. The study has shown that digital autoradiographic evalua tion of thin layer chromatograms is a valuable tool for obtaining rapi d information; it also enables the analyst to perform in situ semi-qua ntitative analysis of compounds separated. Several applications are gi ven.
