Abstract
In an attempt to standardize antimicrobial susceptibility testing of N .meningitidis we evaluated five agar media in an agar dilution test wi th five antibiotics. MIC values varied significantly and, with the exc eption of the results found on GC agar, results were inconsistent if c ompared to Mueller Hinton agar. Based on our data we strongly recommen d GC agar as standard test medium for susceptibility testing of N.meni ngitidis.
