Abstract
The thermodynamic behaviour of a binary solution of diatomic molecules is studied using the pair approximation of the cluster-variation meth od. Analytical expressions for the osmotic pressure, the chemical pote ntial and the grand potential are obtained. In addition, the phase dia gram is calculated. The results are compared with Flory's theory.
