Abstract
Glitter function in one and two dimensions is derived via geometric op tics. The glitter function is very important in the mathematical analy sis for obtaining statistical properties of the sea surface using aeri al photographs and describe the glitter patterns which create the imag e. This function gives the relationship between the slopes of the surf ace and the glitter patterns.
