Abstract
Waste water can be polluted by solid matter, droplets of organic mater ials, and dissolved organic and inorganic components. In this paper, t he mechanical, thermal, biological and chemical processes suitable for water cleansing are presented. It is shown that sometimes a combinati on of various processes leads to the minimum cost [DM(m(3) water)(-1)] for purification according to the regulations.
