Abstract
The paper presents a new numerical technique for the formulation of th e equations of motion of general dynamic systems with an emphasis on t he equations of motion of helicopter blades. The method is based on th e definition of ''Objective Numbers'' and the mathematical operations that permit introduction of them into the formulation. It is shown tha t the present technique provides symbolic exactness while preserving t he benefits of numerical coding techniques. The method permits great f lexibility in the introduction of modifications to the system and in t he choice of parameters that are required to appear symbolically in th e equations. Sample calculations of the equations of motion of helicop ter blades that operate in a gimbaled rotor are presented and discusse d.
