Abstract
Stentorin, a protozoan photoreceptor, was effectively synthesized via the Ullmann coupling reaction of romo-2-isopropyl-1,3,6,8-tetramethoxy anthraquinone which was prepared from ropyl-2,4-dimethoxy-6-(3,5-dimet hoxybenzyl)benzoic acid via intramolecular Friedel-Crafts reaction and regioselective bromination.
