Abstract
Appendicitis is a common entity and appendiceal abscesses are frequent ly found in the pediatric population.(1) Urological manifestations of appendicitis and appendiceal abscess can vary.(2) Right hydroureterone phrosis commonly occurs with an appendiceal abscess but bilaterality h as only been reported in 3 previous cases of which 2 presented with an abscess only after appendectomy was performed.(3,4) Treatment consist ed of a second operation to drain the abscess. In the third case a pre sumed diagnosis of appendiceal abscess was made with no ancillary test s other than an excretory urogram (IVP). Treatment was not reported.
