Abstract
Recent comparative studies demonstrate the dramatically reduced stiffn ess requirements for stabilizing a flexible satellite when guy-wire co nstraints are added. This paper presents full-field stability diagrams for guy-wired satellites in terms of system parameters. These diagram s are useful for preliminary design and give insight into how stiffnes s requirements and required dual spin rotor rates are affected by sate llite geometry.
