Abstract
The authors report a case of left ventricular end diastolic pressure a lternans without systolic alternans in a patient with bradycardia and tachypnea. This is an artifact due to the heart rate falling in a 2:1 ratio to the respiratory cycle. Alternation of left ventricular end di astolic pressure should be interpreted carefully in patients with brad ycardia.
