Abstract
Oxidation of (9Z,11E,13R,S)-13-hydroperoxy-9,11-octadecadienoic acid b y the synthase of divinyl ethers from garlic bulbs (Allium sativum L.) was studied. The enzyme was found to be partially stereospecific, pre ferentially using the (13S)-epimer of hydroperoxide.
