Alloy 800 is one of the most investigated materials of the Iron-Nickel
-Base-Alloys. Since ifs introduction in 1949 as a substitute for Nicke
l-base materials, if has shown good mechanical properties and corrosio
n resistance under different conditions. The fields of application for
this material was so wide and varied that two conferences taken place
which were only engaged with this alloy since then. The accompanying
experimental results have been derived from high temperature creep exp
eriments with the new modified alloy Incoloy 800 HT.
