Abstract
A case of severe lymphedema of the lower extremity caused by obstructi on by human immunodeficiency virus-associated Kaposi's sarcoma is pres ented. A review of the signs and symptoms of obstructive lymphedema an d Kaposi's sarcoma is provided. Early recognition of this clinical ent ity may allow use of simple preventative measures and help to avoid th is life- and limb-threatening situation.
