Abstract
The network model is extended by including a Coulombic force. The rate s of creation and loss of junctions are assumed to be functions of the second invariant of the rate-of-deformation tenser. The resulting con stitutive equation is used to predict the viscosity and the normal str ess difference in viscometric flow, as well as the elongational viscos ity. The predicted viscometric functions agree with experimental data.
