Rs. Turtelli et al., STRESS DEPENDENCE OF THE MAGNETIZATION PROCESS IN AMORPHOUS WIRES ANDRIBBONS, Journal of applied physics, 78(4), 1995, pp. 2590-2595
Magnetization processes in Fe75Si10B15 and (Co92.5Fe6.3Nb1)(77.5)Si7.5
B15 amorphous wires were studied by measuring the stress dependence of
the hysteresis loops as well of the pinning field. Disaccommodation m
easurements were also used to characterize quenched-in stresses and to
study magnetization processes. The results were compared with those o
f ribbons with similar compositions. It is shown that the geometry of
the samples (wires and ribbons) due to the different cooling condition
s determines the different domain structures and consequently the magn
etization process. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physics.
