M. Rahman, SOME FUNDAMENTAL AXISYMMETRICAL SINGULAR SOLUTIONS OF ELASTODYNAMICS, Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 48, 1995, pp. 329-342
Some axially symmetric singular solutions are derived for an elastic s
pace subjected to the action of time-dependent body forces. These sing
ular solutions may also be defined as the axisymmetric elastodynamic G
reen's functions. They correspond to the cases where a unit concentrat
ed force (time-harmonic or transient) is uniformly distributed along c
ircular rings, in the axial, radial and tangential directions, respect
ively. Using these solutions, it is possible to derive new singular so
lutions corresponding to distributed singularities. More specifically,
the present study explores the elastodynamic field in an infinite med
ium produced by arbitrary time-dependent axisymmetric body forces.
