We have successfully fabricated PbTiO3/Au/PbTiO3 multilayers on (012)
LaAl0(3) substrate using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition techni
que. The multilayers show smooth surface, fine grain size, good stoich
iometry and sharp interfaces. The PbTiO3 grown on LaAlO3 were highly a
-axis-oriented due to good lattice match of c-axis of PbTiO3 with a or
b axes of the LaAlO3 substrate, while the top PbTiO3 was a highly c-a
xis-oriented polycrystalline film which is formed through seeded later
al growth on Au electrode and bottom PbTiO3 at the small holes in Au f
ilm.
