Abstract
Current, induction profiles and hysteretic losses have been calculated in the framework of numerical simulations for high Tc superconducting tapes in transverse magnetic field (self-field effects, anisotropic f ield dependence of the critical current density are taken into account ). It appears that hysteretic: losses are widely influenced by both th e tape width and the field component perpendicular to the tape width, except for field nearly parallel to the tape.
