T. Matsuda et al., FIELD-MEASUREMENTS OF SUPERCONDUCTING BENDING MAGNETS FOR COMPACT STORAGE-RING, IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity, 5(2), 1995, pp. 871-874
We have constructed 180 degree superconducting bending magnets for: co
mpact electron storage ring and tests of magnetic field qualities of t
he magnet have been performed. Measured field qualities are; (1) high
field homogeneity (normalized field errors are less than 1 X 10(-3) ov
er the electron beam aperture), (2) high field stability (the decay of
the field is less than 0.1%/year) at persistent current mode at 3.5T,
(3) smalt gradient of coil axis (the averaged value is 0.5 mrad), (4)
small difference of the fields between two magnets (the difference of
the most region is less than +/-1X10(-3)). From the tests of field qu
alities, we can confirm that the magnets have good performances for th
e electron beam storage. Now, we can storage the electron beam of 600M
eV.
