Abstract
The case of a young man is reported who seemed to suffer from acute pr ostatitis. The cause of his illness, however, was found to be a chicke n bone penetrating the colon sigmoideum. The foreign body was removed endoscopically without further surgery. The differential diagnosis of prostatitis is discussed.
