C. Silvestru et al., SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TRIPHENYLGERMANIUM(IV) DIORGANOPHOSPHINODITHIOATES - CRYSTAL AND MOLECULAR-STRUCTURES OF PH(3)GES(S)PR(2)(R=ME, PH), Polyhedron, 14(15-16), 1995, pp. 2231-2237
The first triphenylgermanium diorganophosphinodithioates, Ph(3)GeS(S)P
R(2) (R = Me, Et, Ph), were synthesized by metathesis reactions betwee
n Ph(3)GeCl and the ammonium or sodium salt of the corresponding dithi
o acid. The compounds were characterized by IR, MS and multinuclear NM
R (H-1, C-13, P-31) spectroscopy. The solid state molecular structures
of Ph(3)GeS(S)PR(2) (R = Me, Ph) were determined by X-ray diffractome
try. Both compounds are monomeric, with the monometallic monoconnectiv
e (monodentate) 1,1-dithio ligand and slightly distorted, tetrahedral
coordination geometry at the germanium atom.
