Abstract
We introduce intermediate number-phase states of the quantized radiati on field. It reduces to the number state and to the phase state in dif ferent limits. It is shown that this state exhibits nonclassical effec ts in the light field such as antibunching, sub-Poissonian statistics and squeezing, for certain ranges of the involved parameters.
