Abstract
The release of actylsalicylic acid matrix tablets prepared from pellet s is studied with different hydrophilic excipients (microcrystalline c ellulose (MCC, Avicel(R) PH 101) wheat starch and dextrose monohydrate ) at different proportions. The release process is zero-order or first -order. Dissolution efficiency varied between 23 and 75% in 8 h. MCC i s the excipient with a higher compression protecting effect on the pel lets during tablet compaction. In vitro drug release depends on the MC C content of the tablets.
