Abstract
The Stokes-Einstein and Stokes-Einstein-Debye relations hold well in n onsupercooled liquids; however, sizeable deviations from the former ap pear in supercooled liquids, leading to a ''decoupling'' of translatio nal diffusion from viscosity and reorientational relaxation. We attrib ute this breakdown and this ''decoupling'' to the existence of structu red domains in the supercooled liquid. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physics.
