Abstract
We show lasing (with the threshold of mu J order) due to morphology-de pendent resonances (MDRs) from solid polystyrene spheres with volume-d istributed europium (Eu) chelates. Lasing spectra depending on MDRs ar e reported, and a practical usefulness of the Eu chelate laser with th e solid spheres is described compared with the previous one with liqui d spheres.
