Mh. Aurousseau et al., TRANSIENT DYSFIBRINOGENEMIA AND ACUTE-PAN CREATITIS DURING ISOTRETINOIN THERAPY, La Revue de medecine interne, 16(8), 1995, pp. 622-625
A 17 year-old young man developped two episodes of acute pancreatitis,
separated bq. a 2 pear interval and associated with isotretinoin ther
apy. In 1989, vesicular sludge without lithiasis was evidenced and in
1991, gall bladder stones were found by cholecystectomy. Concomittantl
y, transient dysfibrinogenemia and thrombopenia were present. It is in
teresting to note that far away from the I,se of isotretinoin, the pat
ient suffered from another episode of acute pancreatitis without any c
oagulation disorder. The involvement of Roaccutane(R) in cellular diff
erenciation is discussed as Ir ell as its casual association, with acqu
ired dysfibrinogenemia and transient thrombocytopenia.
