Abstract
The structure of the cubic phase of a new langbeinite, K2Mn2(BeF4)(3), has been determined at 293 K from Xray diffraction data. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements in the temperature range 100-300 K indicated a new phase transition at 213 K, which has been confirmed by precession X-ray diffractograms, revealing a new type of structure di fferent to those generally expected for the low-temperature phases of langbeinites.
