Abstract
The temperature dependence of the fundamental energy gap E(o) of InSb can be described by a semi-empirical model which takes into account th e effects of both, the electron-phonon interaction, obtained from the Einstein approximation for lattice vibrations, and the thermal expansi on term. Good agreement with experimental data is found using reasonab le values of the fitting parameters.
