Abstract
Oxidation of organic water contaminants (with methylene blue and 2,4,5 -trichlorophenol as examples) is accelerated and the degree of water p urification is improved by introducing ozone into a photocatalytic sys tem which uses titanium dioxide as a solid-state catalyst in the sunli ght.
